The Southern Oregon University Percussion Ensembles will present “A due” - an evening of percussion music featuring duets, a trio, and several larger works for percussion. Viola soloist Alicia Mora, Principal Violist of the Rogue Valley Symphony, will be featured with the ensemble on Lou Harrison’s Threnody for Carlos Chávez, a beautiful work for gamelan and viola. Senior percussion student Brian Ekstrom will be featured as marimba soloist on Michael Burritt’s White PInes.
