The Southern Oregon University Percussion Ensembles, directed by Terry Longshore, present a tribute to Lou Harrison (1917-2003) on his 100th birthday. One of percussion music’s pioneers, Harrison composed some of our most compelling early works.
Featured works will include:
Double Music (co-composed with John Cage)
Threnody for Carlos Chavez featuring Kimberly Fitch, viola
Also, we will feature Lou’s poetry and artwork!
