April was an incredible month of music! Southern Oregon University hosted the 30th anniversary of the Northwest Percussion Festival – what an amazing weekend! I was so proud of all of our students – their performances, energy and professionalism hosting the entire weekend. Here are some highlights (thanks to Larry Chamberlain of Yamaha for the great pics!):

Conducting George Antheil’s Ballet Mécanique

Then – the week after I got to perform with Lynn Vartan and the Southern Utah University Percussion Ensemble – an absolute blast working for a couple of days with these great students!

Lynn took me to see the unbelievable Zion National Park:

And then, some John Luther Adams with Kimberly Fitch and friends, and looking forward to May with more Timber, percussion music, and flamenco! Stay tuned!
